The Journal of the Icelandic Forestry Association is the only publication on forestry in Iceland and the main venue for writing on forestry in Iceland. The topics are wide-ranging, covering articles on particular forests, places or tree species, the various aspects of cultivation and growing conditions, planning, research, travelogues, interviews, memorials and much more.

The Journal is published twice a year.

The image is inspired by the mythological creature Jack in the Green. It is also a portrait of the artists husband, who is a forrest scientist and a lumber Jack. Orginally created as his logo.

There are two versions: One summer version and one winter version.
