GATA

On the streets of our blue planet

IN collaboration with Nomad

Gata was a documentary art project on and about streetlife + culture.
Gata had three abstract cores:
Research,
Documentary,
(Street)Art
and one less abstract core:
Making life more worth living

Examining the world as it is today, we figured out that there is only one centerpiece that links all societies on this planet: The Streets
Mankind has come a long way from marking its trails with stone towers, to using the electronic street maps of today.
-Yet. Streets are still defined by orientation marks, providing a simple but effective connection between relevant cultural spots. And even more, the streets themselves are some of the most important cultural items for mankind.
Today, a street can be home to the homeless, it can become a gallery, a workspace, the home base of revolutions, and countless other phenomena - differing from street to street – from country to country.
